TIW

The opening page of the original business plan for Toronto Image Works, written by Edward Burtynsky (1984-85).

In order to maintain the highest level of print quality and consistency for my own photographic projects I launched Toronto Image Works in 1986; a full-service custom photo lab and darkroom rental facility. Since then TIW has grown to serve a large local and international art community. The vision was to create a professional one-stop experience that provides for all phases of photographic production and presentation. Over the years, we've added self-serve and custom digital-imaging components, a media and computer training centre, a mounting and framing boutique, as well as a spacious gallery that hosts changing exhibitions by local, national and international lens-based image-makers.

I created TIW to help make my work the best it can be, and am pleased to be able to benefit our creative clientele with evolving high standards of technical excellence and customer service.
